Pacers Struggle to Keep Up

BOSTON (AP) — Jaylen Brown scored 26 points and Jayson Tatum added 24 as the Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to five games with a 116-98 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

The Celtics led by just eight points at halftime, but they pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Pacers 33-19. Brown and Tatum combined for 18 points in the period.

The Pacers were led by Domantas Sabonis, who had 23 points and 10 rebounds. Malcolm Brogdon added 19 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Celtics' hot shooting.

The Celtics shot 50.6% from the field, while the Pacers shot just 40.8%. The Celtics also won the rebounding battle, outrebounding the Pacers 47-32.

With the win, the Celtics improved to 40-27 on the season. They remain in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings, but they are now just two games behind the third-place Philadelphia 76ers.
